Hello!

Everything we do in class is founded on experiential learning.? Because I am a systems’ theorist working with the place of the self in complex systems, I work simultaneously with the person’s own system and then develop awareness of the levels, perspectives, and relations in the complex systems within which we live.?

For this kind of study I began with Gregory Bateson and unto Bateson I frequently return.? ?I use Fifth Discipline (MIT) subjects. Personal Mastery, System Thinking, Shared Vision, Mental Models, and Team Learning. I have found the work of Chris Argyris with the Individual and the Organization to be invaluable.? My own field these days is work with Informal Cultural Infrastructure of an organization.

Projects include The Party (management training) and the Shizudaisai video contest (independent student productions).

There are many interpretations available.? Many authorities.? I insist that one potential interpretation belongs to each person.? I teach that we must claim the authority of our own perception as ground from which to begin an interpretative process.
